This video shows some of Gideon Mendel’s process for the Dzhangal Project as he digs and searches (a form of unstructured archaeology) in the wasteland that was left behind in the weeks after the demolition of the ‘Jungle Camp’ in Calais. In total he collected 2,189 objects which are now stored in the Museum of London Archaeology Archive.
